Our ‘Fine Wine, Fine Dining, and Fine Education’ ARIA Study Club will be a local home for dentists to associate with like-minded clinicians in Melbourne. All sessions are primed for an optimal learning experience, with case discussions and key learning points at the forefront of every meeting. Participants will have the opportunity to share and discuss cases, with the goal to improve clinical skills and practice satisfaction.

We are thrilled to have Associate Professor Dr. Stephen Chen launching our study club on September 1^st, 2022. Dr. Chen is a world-renowned speaker on dental implants, and is a recognized leader in the field globally. As a team, we are humbled and excited to have Dr. Chen speaking on ‘Timing of Implant Placement’. The growth of dental implants in everyday practice is at its height. Having a thorough understanding on the appropriate time to place one is integral to implant practice success.

DR. STEPHEN CHEN

Graduated BDS (Malaya) in 1983, MDSc (Melbourne) in 1987 and completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2008. Awarded Fellowship by examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) in 1988 (KG Sutherland Prize).

Clinical and scientific interests are in the field of periodontal tissue regeneration, bone grafting and dental implants. Published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals, authored 2 textbooks and contributed chapters to 6 textbooks.
