Description
Live Implant Placement Workshop
Place a dental implant under the supervision of a mentor, learn to place a dental implant in a safe and predictable manner. Learn the correct surgical set-up protocols and bring your staff to learn them to. Four hours are dedicated for each student to place an implant in their own patient under supervision.
A program will be set up for your staff to learn the appropriate surgical set up protocols and then to take that in to practice with your own patient live surgery. Dentists will begin the course with hands-on pigs training, designed to get you primed and ready. Case presentations and discussions will also occur during the morning of Day 1.
Following this dentists will be allowed to complete one implant case under the supervision of a mentor. Your staff will be by your side to learn alongside you during this phase of the workshop. Furthermore, all dentists will be allowed to observe all surgeries. Both implant and third molar surgeries will be taking place; enabling an opportunity for students to learn across multiple fields of surgical dentistry. Mentors will be available for case discussions and any practice based queries you may have.
Nursing staff will be trained in Sterile surgical set-up in a team environment. This workshop will highlight each member of the team and their role before, during and after the implant procedure. The workshop will include hands on training for setting up surgery for implant surgery, sterile technique for putting on surgical PPE and draping the patient.
