Dr praveen nathaniel
Dr. Nathaniel is a specialist prosthodontist in full time private practice in Glen Waverley, Moonee Ponds and Berwick. He is the principal dentist at the Melbourne Prosthodontic Centre.
Dr. Nathaniel graduated as a dentist in 1986 and worked in general practice for 4 years then finished his Masters in 1992 at the University of Melbourne.
He is well experienced in multiple implant systems, being involved almost at the start of implant dentistry in Melbourne. Praveen has been restoring over 10 systems over the last 27 years and placing 5 systems for the last 13 years. He is passionate about continuing education and has attended many courses with the leading figures in implant dentistry.
Dr Nathaniel has had a long history of teaching the undergraduates, dental nurses, hygienists and overseas dentists as well as running and presenting continuing education courses for dentists including lectures and courses for numerous implant companies and University of Melbourne. He has lectured extensively locally, interstate and internationally
Dr Luan Ngo
Graduating with honours from the University of Melbourne in 1999, Luan worked in both public and private practice until 2003 when he commenced a Ph.D. in the field of periodontics looking at biomarkers for periodontal disease. Luan completed the didactic component of his specialist training in periodontics in 2009 and since then has been working in both private practice and as an academic at the University of Melbourne.
Luan is currently the Lecturer in Periodontics and Convenor of the undergraduate (now graduate entry) periodontics program at the Melbourne Dental School. Luan is also currently the president of the Australian Society of Periodontology (Victorian Branch). Luan is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the specialist field of Periodontics.
Dr. Steven Soukoulis
Dr Steve Soukoulis completed a 2 year diploma in clinical dentistry after finishing his general dental degree. This involved introductory training in most dental specialties, dental trauma and medically compromised patients. From here he entered a periodontal specialty program (clinical supervisor was Dr Kardachi) and completed this in 2001. He has worked with Dr Kardachi since this time. Dr Soukoulis has traveled nationally and internationally for short courses to further his knowledge in periodontics and implantology and bone grafting.
Dr Soukoulis has been the President of the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP). He is currently a fellow with the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and lecturers both nationally and internationally. He is a member of the ADA (SA branch) and is accredited by the APHRA.
Dr Miro De Hoyos
Dr. De Hoyos graduated from Mexico with high distinctions in 1999. After 2 years in general practice he completed a Master of Science degree in Biomaterials from the National University of Singapore in 2003. Moving to Adelaide he finished his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics in 2006. He had extensive teaching experience in University of Adelaide to Undergraduates and Postgraduates. His other positions include visiting specialist to the South Australian Dental Service and Sharjah University.
In 2008 he is awarded membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. He joined the Melbourne Prosthodontic Centre in 2008.
In his limited spare time he enjoys life outdoors playing golf and spending time with his wife and children.
Dr Cindy Nguyen
Cindy graduated with her dental degree from the University of Melbourne in 2004. Having finished as dux of her year, Cindy received a number of awards from The University, The Melbourne Dental School and also from The Australian Dental Association. Cindy is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the specialist field of Periodontics.
Dr. Nguyen provides hands-on training to students during pig-head demonstrations and patient live-surgery.
Dr Matthew Youssef
(PG Dip Implantology)
Dr. Matt graduated with both a Masters of Clinical Dentistry from La Trobe University and a Bachelor of Health Science.
He has learnt from World Leaders in Oral Implantology, has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Implantology and is also a gIDE Master Clinician in Implantology.
Matthew is trained in PRF techniques by Dr. Joseph Choukroun, in Implantology and Restorative aspects by Dr. Sascha Jovanovik, Dr. Luke Villata, Dr. Praveen Nathaniel, and Dr. Joseph Kan.
DR DAVID GOUBRIAL
After completing his University Degree, Dr David Goubrial undertook his Oral Surgery training in the Oral and MaxillofacialUnit at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. Dr Goubrial also undertook his training in the Special Needs Department and worked at the Northern Hospital Dental Unit managing immunocompromised and special needs patients.
Dr Goubrial’s particular interests are impacted third molar surgery, dental implant and grafting procedures and the management of immunocompromised patients. David operates out of the Ballarat Day Procedure Centre.
Dr. Goubrial is passionate about sharing his knowledge. He teaches other general dental and medical colleagues.
Dr Devika Iyer
(Masters in Oral Implantology, Masters in Periodontology)
Dr Devika Iyer has a continued passion for surgery and periodontics. She graduated from the Univeristy of Melbourne in 1992 and commenced her practice Grandstand Dental Care in 1998 with a strong surgical and periodontal focus. Dr Iyer has been surgically placing and restoring implants for many years after receiving formal training in Implant Dentistry with the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry in 2005, and has expanded her practice since completing her Masters in Oral Implantology from Frankfurt University and a Masters in Periodontics from the International Medical College Germany. She is also a Diplomate at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (DICOI, USA).
